Det är gott med frukt och grönt. Det är gott med frukt och grönt - på svenska. To stop the epidemic of diet- and lifestyle-induced morbidity in European children, IDEFICS will (1) enhance the knowledge of the health effects of a changing diet and an altered social environment and lifestyle of infants and children and (2) develop, implement and validate specific intervention approaches, focusing on the age group of 2 to 10 years. IDEFICS recommends 11 hours or more sleep for pre-school children and 10 hours for school children (6-10 years). Promotion of sufficient sleep should be part of any health-related recommendations. A small intervention effect was seen on weeknight sleep duration in that the decrease in sleep duration over 2 years was smaller in the intervention (15 min.) as compared with control regions (19 min). 2007-03-15 · These issues are the focus of IDEFICS (Identification and prevention of dietary- and lifestyle-induced health effects in children and infants), an Integrated Project within the 6th framework program of the European Commission.
