The author is grateful to Prof. Boualem Djehiche for useful comments on the Wiener Chaos Expansions in mean-field-type games. This enables us to broaden the scope of mean field game theory and infer MFG models of large real-world systems via deep inverse reinforcement learning. Our method learns both the reward function and forward dynamics of an MFG from real data, and we report the first empirical test of a mean field game model of a real-world social media population.

Explorations of the mean field theory learning algorithm

A Beginner's Guide to Variational Methods: Mean-Field Approximation. Variational Bayeisan (VB) Methods are a family of techniques that are very popular in statistical Machine Learning. VB methods allow us to re-write statistical inference problems (i.e. infer the value of a random variable given the value of another random variable) as term mean eld comes for an analogy with the mean eld models in mathematical physics, which analyse the behavior of many identical particles (see for instance Sznitman’s notes [122]).

A cultivated expanse of land, especially one devoted to a particular crop: a field of corn. Find 122 ways to say FIELD, along with antonyms, related words, and example sentences at Thesaurus.com, the world's most trusted free thesaurus. In this paper, we deal with a class of mean-field backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) related to finite state, continuous time Markov chains. We obtain the existence and uniqueness theorem and a comparison theorem for solutions of one-dimensional mean-field BSDEs under Lipschitz condition. Mean Field Games, which models the the dynamics of large number of agents, has applications in many areas such as economics, finance, dynamics of crowds as well as in biology and and social sciences.

Example: Hybrid electric vehicle recharging control interaction through price Minyi Huang Mean Field Games: … So basically approximating the inference and learning problem, using independence assumptions and decomposition into several products, brings the notion of "mean-field" approximation. I believe the mean-field approximation used in mean-field variational Bayes is the assumption that the posterior approximation factorizes over the parameters. Mean field theory for deep dropout networks. August 31, 2020 • Live on Underline Firstly, a mean field game (MFG) is converted from the original SDG by exploiting the ultra-dense property of F-RANs, and the states of all F-APs are characterized by a mean field distribution. Then, an iterative algorithm is developed that enables each F-AP to obtain the mean field equilibrium and caching control without extra information exchange with other F-APs. Mean field theory (MFT, also known as self-consistent field theory) is a method to analyse physical systems with multiple bodies.A many-body system with interactions is generally very difficult to solve exactly, except for extremely simple cases (random field theory, 1D Ising model).
